I was an elementary school teacher for 20 years. During my 10th year as a teacher, I began receiving monthly massages to help deal with health issues related to stress. Those massages were life changing! The bodywork helped me emotionally, mentally and physically. I was looking to expand my education and journey to serve others in a different capacity. I entered Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in Oaks, PA and Harcum College. The exploration of Holistic Medicine and vast opportunities to help heal others led me to develop my private massage practice in 2003. I was introduced to Unite for HER during a wellness day in 2012 when I was asked to provide chair massage. As a provider for UFH (Unite for HER) I am honored to treat those with breast and ovarian cancer. Being an integral part of someone’s wellness, I strive to provide a listening ear and design each session to what the body needs at that time. After completing my Oncology training, and treating cancer survivors on a daily basis, I know there are multiple areas of need for their care. I completed a Vodder Method Manual Lymph Drainage certification to better address the demand for post-surgical care and lymphedema in the cancer community. I am lucky to say that I love my career and the wonderful souls I have met along the way. Each session is a gift!
